The Piazzale

The courtyard was designed by Santino Solari, the architect of the Salzburg cathedral. He added the south wing and the stables, creating the lovely Piazzale, now planted with cherry trees, and its baroque fountain. The imposing statue of Nikolaus Count Lodron can still be seen in the alcove above the main entrance. A beautiful drive with old chestnut trees completes the romantic and elegant entrance to Palazzo Lodron.
