Mozart in Nogaredo
Owing to the vicinity of the Palace Lodron in Salzburg to the Mozarts’ house, the two families knew each other very well. Wolfgang Amadeus and his sister Nannerl gave piano lessons to the children of the Count Lodron. Mozart's concert for three pianos (KV 242) was written for Antonia Countess Lodron and her two daughters Aloisia and Josepha. The piece takes into account the girls talents. The solo, in particular, was intended to be played by the eleven-year old Josepha. Two Divertimenti, better known under the name "Lodron'sche Nachtmusik" (Nightmusic) were dedicated to Countess Antonia, who sponsored and supported him.
The young composer stayed in Rovereto during his journey in Italy in 1776 and paid visit to the Lodron family. This period is documented in his opera: Don Giovanni orders Leporello to serve a well known local wine: "Versa il vino! Eccellente Marzemino! ..."
